A special Friday treat!
Most of you who follow Ilona’s Kate Daniels series probably know that there has been an increasing level of romantic tension between Kate and Curran, and that there has been a rumor that attraction might be consummated in the next novel, Magic Bleeds. That, of course, presents a challenge for the art department, because no one loves to mix their urban fantasy with romance without warning. On the Edge got a more romancey cover for just that reason: to let the readers know what is inside.
And last Friday, I showed you my shame face and the romance covers that I can’t help but love. But I think the people at Ace’s art department might have been listening in! Because Jill sent this to me this morning, after she used her super-l33t hacking skills to look into one of the computers owned by an Ace cover artist. And look at what our intrepid friend Jill found!
Like OMGWTFBBQ, right? What were they thinking???? He doesn’t even have a sword!
…perhaps they suspect, as I do, that Curran doesn’t have a sword (ifyouknowwhatImean). All joke, no poke.

This cover leaves me speechless *shudder* and with bleeding eyes.
