Edited to add: Wow, everyone — I can’t believe the response to this post. There were funny comments, touching ones, and just all around…you are all amazing. I wish I had a lot more sets of these to give away.
But random.org has spoken. And the winner of the set of books is…
Congratulations! I’ll be contacting you ASAP. And to everyone — I hope you have a fantastic week!
I actually had a post for today, but I decided this probably wasn’t the best day for a zombie discussion. No, today is more of a … GET STUFF day, and a GIVE STUFF day.
So I’m putting on my red velvet suit, shaking my belly, and ho-ing it up with a set of the full-length books in the Guardian series, plus a copy of MUST LOVE HELLHOUNDS, which features stories by a few of us here at Odd Shots.
To enter, just comment before Sunday, December 27th at Midnight, Pacific time and tell us a little something about this Christmas, the perfect (or horrible) gift you received — or, if you don’t celebrate, what you did today instead.
I will choose a random entrant to win and EDIT THIS POST with the winner’s name on Monday, December 28th. This contest is open internationally. No purchase necessary. Odds of winning depend on number of entries. Void where prohibited.
And *cough cough* there might be another contest with Odd Shots books right here, but hurry! It ends when Christmas does.
Husband bought me the new ipod nano in red. We bought daughter a chow puppy she immediately upon seeing named Chewy.
Can you see the Foreshadow of Doom yet?
I put all my Christmas presents on my bed, and went in the shower to get ready for dinner at in laws.
Apparently daughter thought Chewy looked so cute [which I admit he did until he decided he was hungry]curled up on my pillow that she left him there.
Apparently Chewy saw iPod and thought “Ooo shiny! Food! Yummy!”.
iPod was recovered from slobbering mouth, and now wears little teeth marks all over it. Oh joy.
Hope you had a great Christmas.
I hope everyone had a great holiday!
I did not. I had a cold which I caught from my brother. So I spent Christmas day in bed and then being yelled at for being a baby and not helping set up for dinner. After an emergency phone call to the besty I did Christmas dinner with family without talking to my brother.
I got 6 books! My entire Christmas list was books so that’s what I got.
I think overall I let my cold get me down this year. But I’m better now and I have books to read so it’s ending on a positive.
Had a wondeful christmas – quiet and peaceful with lots of lovely gifts.
Mind you, the best gift was one I had received for birthday/christmas last month. A Sony ereader of my five children
Have been using it every day since.
My Christmas was a mixture of sad and happy. My sister and her gang was able to come down from KY. Which is the best gift I could have gotten to be surround by loved ones. My son wasn’t able to be here and this is the first Holiday that I have ever had without him so that was the sad part.
Gift wise I got the first season of True Blood and a Hot Coco gift set.
We (the Netherlands) have presents at St. Nicholas, so we don’t do presents at Christmas, but we had a very nice Christmas lunch with all family present.
And… for the first time in 18 years we had an official ‘White Christmas’
I have two children and for me the best thing about Christmas is watching them open their gifts. Being as fortunate as we are to provide gifts made me decide to start a tradition last year. Now, the week before Christmas I have my children clean out their rooms and pick 5 old toys (in good shape) and however many books they no longer want to give to Purple Heart. I think it is important for them to understand not just how fortunate they are but that they can actually do something to help others.
The good was a new snowboard so I can get out and get active this winter. The bad is that on Christmas eve I went to bed with my contacts in and my left eye has been red for over two days now. Which would make me the ugly
I’m glad it was a white Christmas.
Merry Christmas! The best thing about Christmas this year is that I could spend it with ALL my extended family (missing only one cousin). And I also received a lot of “book money”
I don’t celebrate Christmas so I just usually have a nice quiet day at home and read a lot!
We had a great Christmas…we spent time with the family. We spend Christmas Eve together…we all meet at my Mom’s and have dinner and the kids get to open one present. Then on Christmas morning, we open Santa presents at our house with our kids and grandkids. Then we head to Moms again…were we open presents and eat a great dinner and spend the night playing games, putting together the kids toys, and just enjoying the family time.
I could have sworn I posted here the other day. I told a great big long sob story about getting NO Christmas presents this year and deserving all these books. Since then I was given a batch of homemade chocolate.
(I also received a lovely 3 bedroom house with JennAir kitchen & jacuzzi tubs, but since it is leased that doesn’t really count, right?)
Merry Christmas.
I spent Christmas with the family and had dinner with them.
