Year of the Tiger

I attended the Chinese Lantern Festival this past weekend, and thought I’d share some pictures. It’s one of my favorite festivals, especially when the weather’s as gorgeous as it was this year. The lanterns just get more and more amazing.

So cool!

The festival wouldn’t be complete without the tiger to mark 2010.

The fish below were just stunning – they’re hanging off tree branches, with kelp and seaweed all around.

I hope you enjoyed the photos!

p.s. If you like angels, check out the music video I posted on my blog today.

Beautiful! How large are the laterns?

    • Eva says:

ghaa…”lanterns” of course. (Not from Laternen in German).

    • Nalini Singh says:

They’re fairly large – the tiger is life-size. The house with the men sitting playing chess in front was probably six feet tall.

It’s all set out in this big park, so heaps of space.
